Complaints keep coming towards Valve, who gave a new Mute button, because of its impracticality that requires more than one click.
Valve has introduced a new mute feature so Dota players can press mute while reporting. However, it turns out that the new mute feature has received many complaints because it is not practical. In the past, the mute button could be pressed with just 1 click, this time there must be 2 clicks and choose 2 options to mute a player.
Not only ordinary players, there are several pro players who also complained about this muting feature.
Mason, a former pro player and streamer, complained about this new feature. He said that Valve’s latest feature is a “stupid feature”. In fact, he even accidentally reported one of the players he originally wanted to mute. This latest feature looks very unintuitive and makes players uncomfortable.
This complaint has reached the Reddit front page several times, although Valve has not paid any attention to it. One of the comments predicts that this change will make Dota controller-friendly in the future. Recently, Valve added support for controllers when playing Dota.
Hopefully Valve can fix this soon, since muting players is one of the crucial functions in Dota, especially for the peace of mind.
