Liquid Smashed Secret: Was Matu Right?

Liquid thrashed Secret 2-1 in the WEU Upper Division DPC series, and with that win, they are still unbeaten in the DPC.

Team Secret had to acknowledge the abilities of their former players, Matumbaman and Zai, after they lost against Team Liquid 2-1. With this defeat, Team Secret had failed to win 4 matches in a row. This series proves to Matumbaman that he is not the problem in Team Secret, and so is Zai.

The first game started with a fairly even draft, although there was a surprise pick Bristleback carry for Liquid. This draft didn’t look good at first for Team Liquid as Secret took the gold lead in the early game. However, Secret suffered back-to-back teamfight losses, and Team Liquid took control of the game. Liquid won the game in the 59th minute.

Unlike the previous game, this time it was Secret’s turn to finish off their enemies from the early game. Liquid didn’t look comfortable with their draft, and Secret continued to dominate with Nisha performing really well with Templar Assassin. Team Liquid gave up in the 41st minute, and the series became a draw.

Unlike the previous games, the third game was quite exciting and balanced. Both teams desperately fought for the point, and the game was even. However, a very disastrous teamfight happened for Secret in the 51st minute, and they finally had to give up. Liquid took over Secret’s base and clinched victory in the 52nd minute.
