Filipino teams Blacklist International and ONIC Esports are set to face for the world championship title after making their way to the finals.

In a grand fashion, ONIC PH emerged unbeaten after routing all its opponents in the upper bracket of the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Blacklist International made a Cinderella-run down in the lower bracket, after taking exacting its revenge against BTK.

ONIC PH is the first team to reach the finals of the tournament. After handing a shameful loss to BTK, the Filipino squad has landed themselves a sure top 2 spot in the tournament.

On its way to the grand finals, the squad was able to emerge unscathed over its world-class opponents.

Making their story more unbelievable, the team went through the playoffs without dropping any game against RSG SG, Indonesia’s RRQ Hoshi, and eventually BTK.

On the other side, Blacklist took the harder route on its way to finals.

Starting their journey in the upper bracket, the team faced a devastating against BTK.

Taking down RRQ Hoshi, and EVOS SG, Blacklist was able to secure themselves a rematch against BTK. Fulfilling their promise of not losing to the same team twice, Blacklist was able to drop their revenge hammer, taking an almost clean series, 3-1.

Another world title for the Philippines is on queue as the Filipino squads are set to fight for the crown tomorrow, December 19, 4:20 PM.
