Whitemon Claims ‘Chemistry’ Made T1 Stick Together

Whitemon has revealed T1’s secret amid the several roster shuffles.

The International 10 (TI 10) had just ended, and teams have already changed their rosters. Among the several changes in many teams, T1 is one of the only few who maintained the same roster.

T1’s position 5 player Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon has recently revealed the team’s reason why they stuck together.

According to Whitemon, the team decided to stick together citing their strong chemistry. He also included that the team still has room for improvement in the future.

“I think for us, we don’t have problems at all so we just stuck together and I still think we can improve as a team together. I think our chemistry is really good so we don’t need to shuffle it (the roster),” he said.

Despite taking a heartbreaking run in TI 10, T1 remains strong as it still dominates the SEA region.

Asked regarding the team’s rooms for improvement, Whitemon mentioned exploring more on their movement and widening their hero pool.

Although being a team to beat in the currently ongoing DPC season, Whitemon says the team aims for higher targets. According to the support player, the team is now aiming for a Major win.

“I think we are gonna try hard in this DPC. I think our target is to be going to the Major. Maybe top 1,” he said.

As they aim for a Major win, the player mentioned BOOM Esports being their possible biggest challenger.

“I think the biggest threats are Fnatic and BOOM because they are quite strong teams and if you see their results, BOOM kept winning the online tournaments,” Whitemon mentioned.

Currently, both T1 and Fnatic are the biggest contenders in SEA. Meanwhile, powerhouse team Fnatic remains short in delivering a massive performance in the ongoing DPC.

Similarly, the very fresh Talon Esports shares the same story. The team has yet to take a massive win to prove their place in the region.
