The controversy came from the North America (NA) region because of the news of the sale of a NA Division 2 DPC slot to Ancient players.

The controversial news came from one of the NA Division 2 DPC teams, bumble bEE’s. Previously, the team was home to veteran Dota 2 players whose names were familiar to Dota 2 players. Professional players such as EternalEnvy, Ryoya, and Moo were former players of the team.

Unfortunately, these players decided to leave bumble bEE’s for various reasons. EternalEnvy or EE-sama decided to take a break while trying to find his prime performance again. After only Moo left, news emerged that Moo gave the DPC slot to their previous team manager.

The team manager then invited several Dota 2 players with MMR 3000-4000 to fill the slot. 3 of these players are female Dota 2 players who are famous among NA Dota 2 players, such as Papaya.

The professional Dota 2 scene activists immediately criticized this and said that this was “spit for the players who are trying desperately to enter DPC Dota 2”. There has been no confirmation from Valve regarding this issue.
