Jerax and Nightfall Officially Join Evil Geniuses

After a lot of rumors and speculations, at last Jerax and Nightfall officially joined NA’s powerhouse, Evil Geniuses (EG)!

In early November, there was a lot of news circulating about Jerax and Nightfall joining EG. However, many doubt the truth of the rumors, since Jerax is a former OG player who have a fierce rivalry with EG. They always met on the Main Stage of TI8 and TI9.

However, it looks like the rumors came true after EG confirmed that they had joined.

Jerax officially joined EG after a long hiatus from the professional Dota 2 scene. He retired after winning 2 TI back to back with OG. Next, Nightfall also joined after not-so-satisfying results at TI10 with Virtus Pro. Furthermore, Jerax will occupy a hard support position. While Nightfall will join as an offlaner.

Now, the EG roster is as following:

2. “Abed” Yusuf
3. Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko
4. Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen
5. Jesse “Jerax” Vainikka

As a former OG player, many would regret Jerax’s move to join EG. However, the CEO of OG, JMR Luna, said that Jerax had consulted with the entire OG team about his decision. They strongly support his decision to return to Dota 2, despite him joining EG. There doesn’t seem to be any drama between Jerax nor the OG team players.
