NothingToSay: Nisha Best Midlaner in the World

NothingToSay (NTS), a midlaner from PSG.LGD, recently said that Team Secret’s Nisha is the best midlaner in the world.

In an interview with Level Up, NTS revealed that he considers the mid lane player of Team Secret, Nisha, to be the best midlaner in the world. The answer came when the interviewer asked who his strongest mid lane enemy was during The International 10. Then, he answered by revealing the top 4 midlaners who he thought were the strongest in the world:

  1. Michał “Nisha” Jankowski (Team Secret)
  2. Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang (PSG.LGD)
  3. “Karl” Matthew Baldovino (T1)
  4. Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek (Team Spirit)

Why Nisha, NTS? Where’s Abed & Topson?

This ranking is very interesting, because some favorite midlaners like Abed and Topson didn’t even make the top 4 according to NTS. It is possible that NTS did not include them for several reasons. For Abed himself, NTS did not meet him during Main Stage TI10, because EG lose in the Lower Bracket against VG. Perhaps this is the reason why NTS did not include Abed in the ranking. The same applies to Topson. NTS feels a lot of pressure when facing Nisha in the mid lane, therefore he considers him the strongest midlaner in the world.

That’s Nisha. How about TORONTOTOKYO?

Meanwhile, the reason he didn’t include TORONTOTOKYO in the Top 3 strongest midlaner is because his laning stage was not too strong. NTS thought that TORONTOTOKYO was not too focused on the laning stage because NTS did not feel too much pressure from him. However, the midlaner from Team Spirit was very focused in the mid game to help his team win. It seems that this playstyle is very suitable for Yatoro who can quickly farm the entire map. Collapse is also one of the offlaners who chooses to farm rather than contribute to providing space when his team is far behind.

This ranking is very interesting and invites a lot of debate from fans of the Dota 2 scene. Do you agree with this ranking? Let us know what you think in the comments!
