Well… that was a quick playoff run for RSG… and a quick celebration for NXP EVOS.

Nexplay EVOS

Nexplay EVOS slapped RSG Philippines with a shameful sweep that dispatched them out of the MPL Philippines Season 8.

This remarkable win for Nexplay EVOS advances them to the second round of the tournament. This will be the first time for the team to advance since they entered the scene in Season 6.

The controversial Nexplay EVOS was able to take the clean sweep after battling for blood in game 3. RSG Philippines took a stand in their last game making it hard for Nexplay EVOS to take the final win.

In the final game of the series, NXP EVOS forced an abrupt reaction from RSG which forced a clash near the Lord’s pit. NXP EVOS lost RENEJAY in the exchange but managed to make a turnaround eventually wiping RSG’s team out.

RSG Philippines

John Paul “H2wo” Salonga’s Paquito performance has awarded him the MVP of the game. H2wo ended the game with a 6-3-6 standing which outshined all other players in the game.

“Hindi po talaga [namin ineexpect na sweep], basta kami three games lang nasa isip namin. Basta panalo,” told Renejay in the interview.

(We weren’t actually expecting a sweep. We were just thinking of the three games. At least it’s a win)

NXP EVOS Quickly Drops to Lower Bracket

A quick win… and loss for NXP EVOS!

The overhyped squad faced a similar blow from ONIC Esports in their second-round match-up in MPL Playoffs.

ONIC Esports is now clearly moving to the next round after clearing out the winless NXP EVOS. Following their tough blow, H2wo and his squad are set to battle for survival down in the lower bracket.

Blacklist

Hopes are small for NXP as they will face the goliaths of Blacklist International themselves. Blacklist International is this season’s team to beat as they entered the playoffs with just one loss.

The team however faced a devastating 3-1 blow from the OMEGA Esports. With them going to the lower bracket, the team is now inclined to face NXP EVOS in the battle for survival.
