The last SEA hope is dead after a thrilling best-of-3 series against Vici Gaming. The way they perished is not without a fight.

With the way they went out of The International, T1 can be proud of their performance in the whole tournament.

Last SEA Hope gameplay

The first game of the series started in favor of T1 with comfort picks on their heroes such as Karl’s Lina and Kuku’s Magnus. This ensured a victory against their opponent in 40 minutes. This culminated in an Ultra Kill by Karl in the last fight to secure the first game.

However, Kuku’s Lina gets addressed quickly by Vici Gaming as they picked the hero for Ori in the second game of the series. Coupled with Poyoyo’s dominating performance with his Faceless Void, Xepher’s quick Aghanim with the Dawnbreaker couldn’t turn the tide to T1’s favor and the series goes into a deciding 3 third game after a grueling fight in the 37th minute.

The last match started with a surprising pick of Batrider by T1 against the mighty VG Tiny’s carry with high win rate in TI10. A first blood by the prodigy Indonesian support Whitemon gave T1 a positive sign. But the match quickly fell into VG’s favor as a disastrous death of Karl’s Batrider meant uncontested Roshan for VG. They quickly used this to their advantage and climaxing into a victory below the 30th minute.

While the last game can be seen as uneventful due to the surprise last pick Vengeful Spirit that counters all positional heroes of T1, The SEA fans of Dota 2 can be proud of their performance. T1 clinched Top 8 in the tournament and will bring home $1,000,500. What’s next for T1? Do you think they should stick together. Does the last SEA hope need some change? Let us know in the comments!
