Team Secret ties a series with PSG.LGD, and it’s no longer a secret!

Top 8 in DPC ranking Team Secret just served PSG.LGD their first taste of defeat. Their crazy Dota 2 match-up ended up one game apiece.

With Team Secret’s game one performance, it appears PSG.LGD are not untouchables in this tournament.

Team Secret versus PSG.LGD Recap

Team Secret entered game one with their traditional picks. The team drafted their usual Magnus together with a Tiny and Ogre Magi combo.

PSG.LGD, on the other hand, responded with a Death Prophet pick with the hopes of snowballing Secret’s draft.

The game started equal with both teams maintaining an equal footing in terms of their farm. In the mid-game, PSG.LGD took a slight gold lead given their Alchemist carry pick.

Things got sketchy for PSG.LGD after Yapzor’s Rubick performed a show controlling the late game on his own hands. Empowered with his Aghanims buff, Yapzor was able to both save and initiate for the team eventually taking the win 50-minutes in.

The second game of the series appeared more one-sided for the Chinese powerhouse after playing the early stage with aggression.

Taking advantage of their Snapfire pick, LGD took initiations after initiations giving space for their Wraith King to farm.

After taking his time camping, Ame’s Wraith King unleashed his rage eventually shaking Team Secret with every swing.

Partnered with a Chen support, PSG.LGD rode on the back of Ame’s fed Wraith King eventually tying the series 31-minutes in.

Getting a tie with Team Secret, PSG.LGD has now tasted their first defeat in this year’s TI. The stellar performance from both teams was regarded as a ‘long-lusted Dota 2’ after showcasing an eye candy of back and forths.

As of this moment, the Chinese squad now sits at a 5-1 standing sitting equally with Vici Gaming. Team Secret on the other hand sits idly at an equal 3-3 sitting beside Beastcoast and Elephant who also sits on the same score.
