TI 10 organizers just announced some whopping numbers for their prize pool!
Wykrhm “Wyk” Reddy, famous Dota 2 insider, announced on his official social media the detailed split of this year’s TI 10 prize pool.
Currently, the pot amounts to $40,018,195, with 45.5 percent going to the eventual winners.
For this year, the reigning champion will take home an easy $18.2 million. This is $2.6 million higher compared to the previous year.
This year’s proportion of the pot money is similar to TI 9’s way. In the same way, the second placer is set to win 13% of the pot– a huge difference from top 1.
Meanwhile, third and fourth placers of the tournament will receive 9 percent and 6 percent of the pot respectively.
Securing a top 8 in this year’s TI would reward the placer with $1,000,500. This top 8 winning is $500 higher compared to what Natus Vincere won in the first-ever The International amounting to $1,000,000.
Respectably, the teams who will place last in the rankings, top 9 to 18, would still reward you a huge sum of cash. A team in the lower bracket would only need to win a best-of-three match in order to secure $600,300.
This year’s prize pool is definitely the highest in history. TI 10’s current numbers definitely drive teams to grow more thirst for the elusive Aegis!
