This COVID situation in The International could bring more trouble than you might think!

Team Aster of China recently announced that 3 of its players with 2 of its staff members tested positive for COVID.

The team’s coach revealed that many COVID protocols were breached in their bootcamp. LaNm revealed on his Weibo that he was actually disappointed over the lack of COVID precautions in their hotel.

“LaNm expressed his disappointment over the lack of Covid precautions at the #TI10 bootcamp in Romania. No prior testing, no food/water provided so team staffs had to buy those outside the hotel, and had to ASK for Covid tests themselves when they felt ill,” Babyoling told.

Meanwhile, bigger trouble might ensure in The International with the recent findings online. According to reports, all the remaining Chinese teams also stayed at the same hotel with Aster.

All Chinese Teams Stayed at the Same Hotel with Aster’s COVID Positives

One of the 5 Chinese teams staying in the hotel is PSG.LGD who is the most favored contender this year. Among others are Vici.Gaming, Invictus Gaming, and also Elephant.

Speculations suggest that these people might also have exposure to the same virus that infected Aster’s members.

According to a source, a Chinese team assumed to be Aster was found enjoying a tour around the area. The team members were supposedly found taking pictures in several tourist spots.

Aster on the other hand told that they have not left the hotel except if they needed to buy their necessary goods.

LaNm claims that PGL merely provided them a bootcamp, and that’s it. He mentioned that they have not received any help from the organizers since they contacted them.

He also claims that no testing has occurred until they asked for it themselves. LaNm said that they immediately requested for a test the moment their members felt ill.

With the following findings regarding the issue, should Valve take the issue more keenly? As of this writing, the organizers have yet to announce any decision regarding the COVID problem in their midst.
