The International is every Dota 2 player’s most awaited event annually. Players all around the world are giving their support to their favorite teams, especially if those teams represent their country’s.

Aside from fans, many Dota 2 enthusiasts also engage themselves in discussions regarding each team’s chances in TI.

This year, top esports statistician Noxville gave his probability ranking for The International 10.

The list became controversial for fans questioning as to why the defending champions are sitting at a measly 3.22%

Noxville’s prediction favored the Chinese kings, PSG.LGD, with an 18.85%.

While OG sits at a disappointing number, fans should not be too affected by it.

Throwback 2018: OG Broke 2% Chance of Winning Prediction

In 2018, multiple enthusiasts have also engaged in numerous predictions. Predictions during the same year were actually as controversial as this year pointing out the same issue.

Many fans questioned the placement of OG in the predictions who also sat at a 2% win probability.

As per GOSU.AI, their calculations say that OG’s chance of lifting the Aegis that year was only 2%.

Their calculations also predicted that either Team Liquid or Virtus.Pro would win the title. Interestingly, PSG.LGD also sat at the top 3.

However, things did not go according to predictions as OG broke the barrier by sealing the top spot to their name.

Making the outcome more interesting, Liquid and Virtus.Pro were not even at the top 3 of the final result.

Liquid who was predicted to win the chip with 20% probability sat at top 4. Virtus.Pro on the other hand sat only at top 5-6 beside Team Secret.

The high top 1 prediction for Evil Genius did not happen as well as the team landed only at the number 3 spot.

Noxville Predicted Wrong in TI 9

Statistician Noxville who gave an interesting prediction this year also did the same in TI 9.

Making the prediction topic more controversial, Noxville also predicted against OG in 2019.

As per his computation, he gave Team Secret the highest probability of winning the title. The statistician interestingly did not include OG in any of his team predictions, not even the ‘game with highest game length avg’ where the team is famous for.

Similar in TI 8, things went contrary to his numbers as OG prevailed to defend their title. His top 1 bet Team Secret landed the top 4 while OG’s rival PSG.LGD sat in the top 3.

Will this pattern continue in the upcoming The International 10? This year, one thing’s for sure to be different. OG will be competing without its core championship team that won the Aegis both in TI 8 and TI 9.
