Former Bren Esports Valorant Player Jayvee Paguirigan, known as DubsteP in the scene, would less likely to join Team Secret if the European-based organization did not acquire them as an entire roster.

In an exclusive interview with HYPRGAME, DubsteP said that it was a big factor that Team Secret acquired them as a whole as they would be able to continue doing things that worked for them.

“Actually the name itself was already a selling point for us for we have dreamt of being in an organization of this caliber. Yes, it is also a big factor that they got us as a whole. With this we can continue to do what we were doing from the past without any questions asked,” he said.

“We can keep doing what was working for us and we should keep going until we reach our dreams together as one team,” DubsteP added.

DubsteP can’t Imagine Playing with Different Teammates

DubsteP also said that he cannot imagine himself playing with different teammates, as he already formed true connections with them.

“It’s hard to imagine playing the game with different teammates other than them. Less likely I would be signing in any org without my team. They are more than just teammates to me at this point. I can call them my true-blooded brothers,” he said.

DubsteP was part of Bren Esports’ Valorant roster since August 2020. The roster included Jessie “JessieVash” Cristy Cuyco, Jim “BORKUM” Timbreza, Kevin “Dispenser” Te. Riley “witz” Go Gilbert “Gibo” Sales Jr. was retained as their coach.

Team Secret acquired the entire roster. This marks the organization’s entry to the Valorant scene, just two days after Bren Esports confirmed that the team will not be able to join the Valorant Masters in Berlin due to the delayed release of their visas.

Team Secret confirmed the acquisition of the entire Bren’s Valorant roster three days ago. Prior to this, the top-tier esports organization released teasers of their entry to the Valorant community.
