New P2E Game Monsta Infinite Wants to be an Axie Alternative

Wanna be a manager but cannot afford to invest in Axie Infinity? Perhaps Monsta Infinite is the solution.

A Singapore-based team on Thursday (12 August) launched Monsta Infinite, an Axie Infinity inspired play to earn crypto game. The game is envisioned “to provide an alternative to player who’s already in Axie Infinity or looking for similar game to have a lower starting cost of $100 – $200 compared to $2,000. Our vision is to create a game to aid players to earn a living amidst this Covid-19 pandemic.”

“The team’s initial plan was to fork Axie Infinity and imitate it on every possible aspect as we see the potential of a lower entry cost Axie like game,” the game’s whitepaper said.

Similar to Axie Infinity, Monsta Infinite’s gameplay heavily involves PVP battles in order to win leaderboard prizes. The pets, called “monsta” can also be cloned and sold in the marketplace.

Users can also collect and speculate on rare Monsta such as Legendary and Inception. They can also invest in land that can be used for virtual events in the open-world. Of course, farming for the in the game currency that are needed to clone Monsta can also be done. These can be sold on exchanges.

Fueled by the internal passion of each and every game-lover in our team and the community, we want the world to know of the wonders of gaming and how it can bring out the best of gaming and finance, show them that we weren’t wrong,” their mission statement reads.

Monsta Infinite Currency

The Monsta Infinite token is called $MONI. According to Monsta Infinite’s whitepaper, 540,000 $MONI or 0.2% of the total token supply will be available in the first round of their presale. The first round of presale is scheduled on September 8, while the second presale will be on on September 15.

For the Presale 2.0, a total of 26,460,000 $MONI, or 9.8% of total token supply will be available.

Although the team has launched Monsta Infinity, they are reminding the public that they haven’t launched the $MONI token yet, as scammers might already been selling non-existent, unauthorized tokens.

Game Release Schedule, Security

Cryptogamers might have to wait for a little while as the launch of Monsta Infinity is scheduled on the first quarter of 2022.

As for the game’s security, the team behind Monsta Infinite will integrate Google Authenticator to the account login process.

“We are aware of issues over player account security in such platforms which were not given the first priority as many of these platforms are in early stage. Our solution is to integrate Google Authenticator to the account login process. Without compromising the privacy of players or leaving them susceptible to social engineering attacks, players will be able to scan a QR Code on their Google Authenticator app, and any subsequent logins will require a one-time passcode from the app,” they said.

Looks like Monsta Infinite is a definite alternative to Axie!
