One of Southeast Asia’s best, TNC, is sitting out of the scene at least for a while…

TNC Predator Takes a Temporary Break From Competitive Dota 2

The all-Filipino squad TNC announced on July 26 that it’s taking a break from professional Dota 2 until the next TI season.

TNC Will Use Break to Spend Time with Loved Ones

In their detailed post, the team explained that the members will use their free time to be with their loved ones.

“A lot has happened since the pandemic breakout and we want the players to use this time to be with their families, take a much-needed break and build the best versions of themselves as preparations for the next big fight.” their post read.

TNC added that they would still produce TI updates. The team said they will be taking the support role for the remaining Filipinos and other SEA representatives for TI.

TNC had one of the most heartbreaking runs this TI season as the team fell just a few inches short.

The team faced Fnatic in the grandfinals of SEA’s The International regional qualifiers and fell short in a disappointing 3-2.

This year will be the first absence of TNC since its streak started in 2015.

“You guys won’t be seeing any Dota action from us anytime soon but we will be taking the support role for the remaining Filipino players and Southeast Asia teams competing for the TI10 Aegis,” they told.

Currently, the roster of TNC who will be taking a break are:

  1. Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte
  2. Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios
  3. Jun “Bok” Kanehara
  4. Timothy John “Tims” Randrup
  5. Marvin “Boomy” Rushton

Recently, Tims played as a stand-in for OB Neon. TNC’s position 5 earned a championship title in the PNXBET International with OB Neon.

With The International just around the corner, we’ll be expecting the TNC’s support for T1, Fnatic, and Evil Geniuses.

Abed, Karl, Kuku, DJ, and Raven will be the only Filipinos who will compete in the biggest Dota 2 tournament.
