Former EVOS Exec is now Galaxy Racer’s CMO

Air Asia and EVOS Esports‘ former executive is now Galaxy Racer’s chief marketing officer (CMO).

The Dubai-based esports org Galaxy Racer announced to the public that Allan Phang, former exec of EVOS and Air Asia, is now the team’s new CMO.

According to the announcement, Phang will be “leading the development of best-in-class strategic marketing plans to establish GXR’s brand presence on a global scale, including marketing initiatives from social media and digital campaigns to advertising, partnerships, and creative projects.”

Prior to becoming GXR’s CMO, Phang served as a regional head of marketing for EVOS.

In addition, the new marketing chief also held several roles in Air Asia for seven years.

Phang told that he was personally excited about his new position in GXR. He added that Galaxy Racer was “on the right path to be a market leader in this space”.

More so, GXR CEO expressed his confidence in their new marketing chief. He said that he’s confident that Phang will “be able to take us to the next level”.

“Allan is a highly experienced business leader with a proven track record. (This), including his vast knowledge and network in the esports ecosystem, which we value immensely,” the CEO said.

The organization boasts 11 teams competing in several esports titles. The organization now holds several teams competing in different esports titles. This, despite the organization being young since its establishment only in 2019.

Currently, the organization has teams competing in Dota 2, League of Legends, and CSGO. Additionally, GXR is also holdinging in mobile esports which includes PUBG Mobile and Free Fire.

In addition, the organization manages several content creators around Middle East North Africa (MENA), and Southeast Asia (SEA).
