The very controversial Amihan Esports has found its new home!
Cosmic University has reportedly acquired the all-Filipino Wild Rift squad of Amihan Esports. According to reports, this will be Cosmic University’s first venture in esports.
Reports say that Cosmic University has acquired the full roster except for Karl âKARLLLâ Ken Bautista and Jelson âJelsonâ Anthony Ayon.
Additionally, reports say KARLLL was excluded from the deal because of his ban.
As a replacement, Daniel âDanesUâ Mendoza will be filling Karl’s place in the team.
Meanwhile, the team’s coach Mikey âFerzerkâ Alberto will be maintaining the same role.
Prior to this, Cosmic University has hinted at the acquisition through their social media.
Cosmic University uploaded a photo captioned with âthe northeast wind blows into the cosmos.â

With all this, it appears only Karl and Jelson were the only ones left from the former Amihan.
As of writing, It’s still unclear whether Jelson will still be competing in the scene.
Meanwhile, Karl will definitely be sitting out at least for 9 months because of his ban.
Ahead of the acquisition, Hyprgame reported that Amihan falsified important documents in a Riot-sanctioned tournament. An investigation found Karl guilty of being underaged which earned him a 9-month ban.
Amihan Esports has dissolved its organization after it received a huge backlash from netizens. The team that their Mobile Legends team will be finishing all the tournaments that they have already started.
Cosmic University is an organization that puts a focus on its Axie community. The organization puts up numerous scholarships for Filipinos to give them a shot at becoming hard earners for their homes.
With this being their first in competitive esports, everyone is definitely excited as to what they can bring to the table.
