The Philippine community in Axie Infinity is going places!
Axie Infinity has indefinitely locked the Philippines’ channel on the game’s official server. According to reports, Axie Infinity acted based on Filipinos’ toxicity on Discord.
The lock means Filipinos can no longer send any message on the channel.
Recently, Filipinos were uncontrollably spamming toxicity, threats, and other hateful comments online.
Samples of toxic comments include Filipinos saying “This server is ours, you stupid Indonesians,”.
Reports say Filipinos spammed non-stop on Discord. More so, moderators moved to ban Filipinos as the community continued to chat in Tagalog despite warnings.
When in Manila Plays on their Facebook sent a reminder to all Filipino players.
“Friendly reminder that Axie Infinity is an INTERNATIONAL GAME, also played by INTERNATIONAL PEOPLE. Filipinos aren’t the only ones playing this game. It is disrespectful to speak in Tagalog on an international group/server,” they told on Facebook.
“Also, constantly spamming and spreading hateful comments will NEVER get you a Scholarship. It is NEVER OKAY to spread hate and negativity. Please, let us all learn how to read, follow rules, and respect one another,” they added.
As of this moment, Axie Infinity has yet to make an official announcement regarding the ban.
Currently, Axie Infinity is still facing connection issues due to a massive influx of users. Admins although have already assured players that the game will get back to its foot real soon.
