Vikin.gg parts ways with its roster!
In an announcement on Twitter, Vikin. gg announced that it has officially disbanded its Dota 2 team. This, considering its steady development in the scene recently.
The organization had slowly built a fanbase in the recent Dota 2 tournaments. However, Vikin failed to ‘satisfy’ fans after the roster failed to qualify for The International this year.
“We made the hard decision to part ways with our current roster: @boomdota, @Shad_Dota, @KheZu, @AramisDota2, @Seleri4096, and @ImmortalFaithd.” read their Tweet.
“We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved together and we wish them nothing but the best,” they added.
In addition, the roster’s acting captain Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp told on Twitter his sentiments on the decision.
“It might be over for now, but I am certain you will be able to see more from us in the future,” told the captain implying that squad will remain intack.
Vikin. gg is a Romanian organization which entered the scene in 2019 with a band of EU players.
The team had multiple small wins throughout its existence. The team’s wins include BTS Pro Series Season 3: Europe/CIS, DOTA Summit 13 Online: Europe & CIS, and EPIC League Season 3 Division 1.
In early 2021, Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann replaced Tobias “Tobi” Buchner for the offlane.
Their squad had a fierce run in the lower bracket of DPC Season 1 where they finished with a perfect 7-0 record.
Currently, the squad has yet to make an official announcement whether the team will be sticking together or not.
