Riot SEA responds to new Moonton regulation, and it is epic.
Rumors about Moonton prohibiting players to promote games other than Mobile Legends for esports teams apparently received a response from Riot SEA.
Riot’s Esports Project Manager, Ban “ChisinX” Chee, wrote his statement on his Twitter account.
“Been receiving multiple enquiries regarding WR teams in Indonesia. We would like to reassure our players that Riot SEA does not restrict WR SEA esports teams from participating in other mobile esports leagues. And we empower our teams to exercise freedom of choice in this space,” wrote ChisinX.
For those who don’t know, rumor said that esports teams and players who play in Mobile Legends division are not allowed to promote or even play other mobile MOBA games. This also applies to pro players when they live stream.
Apparently, this statement is quite a relief for Wild Rift esports fans in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia. Rumor of restriction from Moonton the other day is quite unfortunate. This could shut down any official tournaments other than Mobile Legends in Indonesia.
