This year’s EU qualifier is one of the saddest in history as only OG and Nigma fight for their TI survival.

OG, Nigma Fight for Survival

The International’s regional qualifier is reaching its final leg in China and Europe. While many Chinese teams are already directly invited to TI, EU is still struggling in choosing another representative.

One of the biggest things to watch out for in the qualifiers is OG and Nigma. Both teams are fighting for their own legacies. With OG fighting to get a chance to defend its title, and Nigma working on Kuroky’s long TI appearance streak.

OG who has had one of the biggest ups and downs this year is struggling for their TI slot. After losing ana last month, the team is now set to face big teams in the qualifiers. This, with the hopes of defending their back-to-back title.

Meanwhile, Nigma has a story of its own. With Kuroky being present in The International since 2011, Nigma is now fighting for its brethren to protect the historical streak.

Kuroky and Puppey Holding the Longest TI Streak

Currently, Kuroky is one of the only two professionals who have attended TI since 2011. Currently, Puppey is sitting beside Nigma’s veteran holding the same streak.

With Nigma fighting for its TI 10 lifeline, Kuroky’s streak might face a halt this year.

For OG and Nigma to make it to TI 10, both teams must now beat everyone in the qualifiers to get that elusive slot.

With strong teams in the qualifiers like  Liquid, Vikin.gg, Brame, and together with other DPC teams, OG and Nigma may even face the same feat of defeat.
