Sassa Gurl Responds to Buknoy, Says Star Image is Only Exploiting the Child

Filipino influencer Sassa Gurl did not mince her words in responding to Star Image and Buknoy Glamurr’s criticisms.

In her recently uploaded vlog, the Filipino influencer scolded Star Image for mishandling Buknoy Glamurr. According to Sassa, her statements during the podcast were all directed to Star Image and not at Buknoy.

According to her, the podcast where she guested talked about how Star Image was exploiting Buknoy.

Sassa told that instead of teaching the 16-yr-old influencer on how to properly react, they were exploiting her instead for clout.

“Number one, our main topic was not Buknoy… My opinion is that, you’re not the exact person that we wanted to focus on. We wanted to focus on your management. As what Yani said, you’re just a child. And as a child, of course you don’t know what’s right or wrong,” he told.

Sassa continued saying that Star Image was only capitalizing on Buknoy’s controversial career.

As an example, Sassa questioned why Star Image let Buknoy such kinds of content.

“If you are a manager.. Or if you’re a manager and you already know that your talent is emotional, why would you allow him to post such rants? This, considering that he’s just 16 years old. You cannot make any excuses. The rant was even posted on your account, Kapitan VJ (Bunoy’s Manager),” Sassa questioned.

Sassa Gurl continued claiming that Star Image was exploiting on Buknoy’s issues. She told that the management even misused the word ‘depressed’ just to gain clout on Buknoy’s emotional state.

“Why would you even use the word ‘depressed’ as a title? It really sounds like a click-bait. Right there, you’re already using promotional antics! You shouldn’t use such word for such kind of situation.” she told.

In continuation, the influencer continued to question Kapitan VJ regarding his exploitative acts. Sassa previewed a video of Kapitan VJ talking about how Buknoy had gone viral. Kapitan VJ appeared to be looking happy as Buknoy trended number one on Twitter on the said clip.

“This is what we mean with exploitative action. You know that what people were telling on Twitter regarding Buknoy was all negative. And you, you’re even happy about that? Why are you even happy? It’s not something to be celebrated because you’re being called out. Clearly, you’re not really concerned about his emotions!” Sassa continued.

In addition to her scolding, the influencer also told that the management was exploiting poverty as content.

On the same vlog, Sassa explained a situation where Star Image was promoting Buknoy to be helping the poor.

“In a post, they were saying that people don’t know that Buknoy is helping the poor. To me, the main point of the post is for Star Image to promote the artist’s character. Why would they even post it if you only wanted to help? I would really understand if it were a donation drive. That’s poverty porn! You’re using the poor people for engagement!” she exclaimed.

Sassa closed the issue by telling Star Image that the management is not being a proper guardian to their artist.

As of this moment, Buknoy and his management Star Image have yet to comment on the issue.
