Is Aura PH stealing MSC Champs Execration players for the next MPL PH season?

According to a source, Aura PH is set to release its entire roster except for Bennyqt. The said move was said to be made in order to absorb the entire MLBB roster of Execration.

It looks like the move is connected to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang adapting a new franchise model — a similar model that MPL Indonesia started during its fourth season in 2019.

According to a report by Tiebreaker Times, the League will accommodate eight teams for its eighth season. Each team is required to pay a one-time franchise fee amounting to almost 40 million pesos. This can be expanded up to ten teams, but will have t get the approval of the eight-member teams.

Each team can sign at least ten players, regardless of age.

According to HYPRGAME’s source, Execration might not have enough funds to afford the franchise fee. With this, Aura PH is said to be making a move to steal the reigning MSC 2021 champions.

Former Execration member Bennyqt will be retained to the roster, a source said.

Execration’s MLBB team is composed of Renz “Renzio” Errol Cadua, Patrick “E2MAX” James Caidic, Kiel “Kielvj” VJ Hernandez, Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, Grant “Kelra” Duane Pillas, and Billy ”Z4pnu” Jazha Alfonso.

The bottom two teams will no longer be eliminated from the league, which means it also eliminates the need for qualifiers.

Neither Aura PH nor Execration have confirmed or denied the issue.

MLBB developer Moonton is also yet to announce their plans.
