Moonton has begun to give strict penalties to MMR abusers in matchmaking Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

You may have heard the term ‘MMR boosting’ in some MOBA games. This term is still famous now for offering services to boost players’ MMR.

In Mobile Legends, there are also people who boost MMR other players for the money. You may call them MMR abusers. Their services guarantee an easy rank up for their customers. Moreover, they set a price according to the difficulty of each rank. The higher the rank, the more expensive the service will be. However, keep in mind that this service is actually illegal. It will interfere with players who play seriously in ranked mode.

As MIL Global Head Manager of Mobile Legends, Laurance Basoy warned Mobile Legends players who tried to outsmart the matchmaking for MMR boosting.

“10-man matchmaking for MMR abuse? Nah, you’ll be banned. Don’t try it, or else you’ll be given 3 days (for 1st attempt). 2nd attempt is 30-days then 3rd attempt is a permanent ban #PlayFair #MLBB,” said Basoy on his Facebook status (03/06).

Mobile Legends players celebrate this announcement. They hope Moonton is really serious about this new penalty. Previously, there had been penalties for MMR boosting services by Moonton in previous seasons. However, MMR abusers are still roaming freely and often appear in ranked mode.

It is really suck meeting an MMR booster or abuser in one of your ranked match. Have you ever met an MMR abuser in your matches?
