MSC 2021 Group Stage Day 2 is finally on!

HYPRGAME is covering the matches as they happen.

IMPUNITY KH VS BIGETRON ALPHA

The MSC 2021 Group Stage Day 2 started with Impunity KH versus Bigetron Alpha.

In what perhaps could be the longest series so far, Impunity KH won against Bigetron Alpha, 2-1.

The first game between the two teams opened with Bigetron Alpha with Renbo using Lunox, Dreams using Mathilda, Kyy with Kaja, Maxxx with Yi Sun Shin and Matt with Paquito.

On the other hand, Impunity KH went down with Tyyy using Jawhead, Oppi with Chou, Wightnite selecting Granger, Boom using Uranuz and Senpai with Luo Yi.

With a rocky start, Bigetron Alpha turned things around after pocketing the third lord. Luckily, the deadly duo with Matt managed to turn things around in the first game.

The victory in the first game of MSC 2021 immediately belongs to Bigetron Alpha within 27 minutes over Impunity KH.

Meanwhile, The second game was opened by Senpai with Selena, Boom with Baxia, Tyyy with Popol Kupa, Wightnite with Granger and Oppi with Benedetta.

Withstanding each other’s attacks, Bigetron Alpha and Impunity KH managed to bring this game into the late game. Unfortunately, Bigetron Alpha had to give up points in the second game for Impunity KH.

Third Game Decides The Win

The third game was opened by Renbo with Yve, Dreams with Esters, Kyy with Hayabusa, Maxxx with Brody and Matt with Lapu Lapu.

Impunity KH went down with Wightnite with Yi Sun Shin, Tyyy with Popol Kupa, Boom with Alice, Oppi with Chou and Senpai with Selena.

In this third game, each team attacks each other until the late game.

Bigetron Alpha actually stumbled in the late game after Maxxx had to fall and the lord belonged to Impunity KH.

Impunity KH won the series in the 25th minute. With this victory, Bigetron Alpha already lost twice at MSC 2021.

EXECRATION DOMINATES NIGHTMARE

Execration (Philippines) becomes the first team to secure its upper bracket slot after winning against Niightmare Esports (Laos).

Z4pnu made an early impact in his first game of the year, single-handedly defeating Nightmare Esports’ feeding Diggie plan to lead Execration to a big Game One triumph.

Meanwhile, The MPL veteran, who played Chou, one of his iconic heroes, blocked Achilles’ Diggie to provide Kielvj “Kielvj” Hernandez some much-needed farming space. He had nine kills and eight assists to go along with two deaths.

Execration clinched the sweep with a 16-7 victory in 14 minutes and 43 seconds, thanks to Ch4knu’s Akai, which he used in Game Two as well.

He collected his second MVP award of the day with 11 assists versus three fatalities.

On the other hand, Kielvj’s Lancelot and Kelra’s Claude led the attacking charge in Game Two.

The first had seven kills and six assists against one death, while the second had six kills and seven assists without a single death.

Finally, Z4pnu had a game-high 12 assists, as well as a death while playing Yve.

RSG MY TAKES DOWN IDNS

The third match of Day 2 was I Do Not Sleep Thailand vs RSG Malaysia.

After dealing with the sister team from Singapore on Day 1, this time IDNS met with the team from Malaysia. However, bad luck ended up in the IDNS team even though they had made a fight and defeated Lord from the MY RSG. In the second game, IDNS kept trying until they got Lord twice. However, RSG MY’s defense is tougher. IDNS got wiped out again, leaving an empty base with no defense. RSG MY came home on Day 2 with a score of 2-0.

BLACKLIST INTERNATIONAL SWEEPS IMPUNITY KH

Blacklist International (Philippines) joins Execration in the upper bracket as it took down Cambodia’s Impunity KH.

Impunity KH, down 0-1 in the best-of-three series, deployed the feeding Diggie tactic in the hopes of dragging Blacklist to a decisive game.

Blacklist defeated Impunity KH in less than 17 minutes, with Danerie James “Wise” del Rosario accounting for 16 of their 35 kills, 11 assists, and four fatalities on Yi Sun-Shin.

Using Yve, OhMyV33nus had 7 kills and 16 assists against two deaths, while on Popol and Kupa, Jayson “Eson” Gerardo had 3 kills and 19 assists against one death.

EVOS SG WINS OVER NIGHTMARE

The closing match on Day 2 is Nightmare Esports Laos with EVOS Singapore. It looks like the Nightmare’s opponents today are not bringing the team from Laos any luck at all. The white lion from EVOS SG began to roar loudly at its opponent. In the second game, there was a very tense two by two match at the Nightmare base. Fortunately, EVOS Girl immediately retreated after his teammate and one opponent fell at the same time. EVOS SG finally managed to win 2-0 without Lord at all in the second game.
