Alliance’s name took more than just cheating allegations!

Alliance's Kelly Ong - On Being a Team Owner and Woman in Esports | Game Is Hard

It seems Alliance’s name has been tainted of all sorts of negative attributions as the team continues to take a hit from multiple sides saying that the team are nothing but players who exploited on cheating just to become top 1 in their region.

Alliance’s chief strategy officer Kelly Ong expressed the team’s painful experience following the cheating allegations.

In an exchange with a Twitter user, Kelly Ong called those who have been creating buzz on false premises — a sentiment all connected to people tagging them as cheaters.

The exchanges trace back to WePlay’s tweet announcing PPD’s arrival in Kyiv.

In the said tweet, a Twitter user carrying the @renix username replied with a statement claiming that Alliance took advantage of a misunderstanding between and among other esports organizations.

“I am so sad thanks to your team, which abused a flaw in the rules of the tournament and played matches with a huge advantage, realizing that this was not right..” he told.

Renix also continued with his ill-feelings toward Alliance, saying that the team could not understand that the rules were erroneous, but exploited it to their advantage anyways.

“for so many years in esports, the @theAllianceGG team could not understand that this was a mistake in the rules and immediately started to abuse it .. Thanks to other teams who immediately understood this mistake and did not use it” he continued.

Kelly Ong replied to Renix’s tweet asking how he got to his level of hate for Alliance where he’s expressing nothing but negativity and spreading false information.

“Dude take a good look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself how you got to here today filled with so much sadness and hate perpetrating false ideals.” Ong told in a now-deleted tweet.

Ong also explained that she deleted her tweet since it would not matter anyways according to her. “I deleted my reply to you because it doesn’t matter what people like you thinks, to me, anymore. It’s pointless for me to argue with you when the facts are already out. Continue in your sad delusion and please leave me alone. I don’t know what is wrong with you dude” she expressed.

Meanwhile, Ong took to her personal Twitter page her disgust over the alarming situation where Alliance’s reputation is getting pulled down the drain.

“This is why we wanted a public apology from OG which won’t be coming. The level of misinformation, this useless repercussion, is something we have to live with. Harassment is REAL & painful. From all levels. Sucks that we have to live with this bullshit for the months to come.” she told in a retweet from Renix’s accusations.

She also announced that she has not experienced this level kind of toxicity until the “cheating” issue boomed all over the esports world.

“I have been harassed for almost the entirety of my early 20s the moment I took the GSL casting job. I am sick and tired of being harassed but it comes with the territory. Occupational hazard. But that doesn’t make it right and it doesn’t make me weak for talking about it.” she expressed on her retweet.

OG despite taking a low profile on the issue got itself dragged into the situation which they initially instigated. This puts the question as to whether the team should apologize or not in order to put an end to this miserable experience that Alliance is having.
