Na’Vi is one problematic organization (at least because of these changes).

No[o]ne and SoNNeikO Leave AS Monaco Gambit to Join Na'Vi | AFK Gaming

Russian organization AS Monaco Gambit has committed to a big change ahead of AniMajor after releasing Vladimir “No[o]ne” Minenko and Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev which apparently became and opportunity for Na’Vi, Gambit’s regional rival.

According to SoNNeikO and Gambit, their rough start for the Season 2 of Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2021 (DPC) have been crucial to SoNNeikO and No[o]ne’s decision to leave the team.

As revealed in the statements, both players expressed desires to leave the team in the middle of the season but were asked by Gambit to finish at least until the end of the season, eventually winning the team the top 3 spot in the region, qualifying them for a wild card in WePlay’s AniMajor.

Despite the opportunity, both players have continued to commit to their prior decision to leave the team and have now joined the very problematic Na’Vi.

“It is hard for us to believe what is happening right now, but it is the reality of the Dota 2 CIS scene in 2021. SoNNeikO wanted to leave the team after the unsuccessful start of the DPC Season 2, but the organisation managed to convince players to switch roles and finish the season together, which allowed us to qualify for the Major. In spite of that, Akbar and Vladimir refused to go to [the Major] and expressed their desire to leave Gambit. Given the situation, we see no reason to hold the players, whose contracts expire at the end of DPC Season 2,” told Gambit in a statement.

SoNNeikO on Twitlonger explained his side on why he has chosen to part ways with the team.

“After three losses at the start of the season I’ve informed the organization and my teammates that I no longer believe in the success of this roster and that I want to leave. We agreed to finish this season together, No[o]ne became responsible for drafts and coordination, and we managed to qualify for the Major. I decided not to participate in the Major even though other parties were willing to continue working. I would like to apologise to my teammates and to the organization and wish them success in [the Major],” the player explained.

No[o]ne on the other hand expressed his gratitude for the team via Twitter.

“I want to say a big thank you to my teammates and the management of the organization [AS Monaco Gambit] for an excellent few months. Despite not the coolest results, it was an important experience that taught me a lot,” he tweeted.

In their absence, Artem “Lorenof” Melnik and Stanislav “633” Gushan will be replacing both players in order to prepare Gambit for the AniMajor.

On the other hand, these changes have become an opportunity for Na’Vi as the organization quickly signed both players after kicking Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko and Andrii “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko out of the roster.

It is notable that these people have been involved in the issues regarding the controversial departure of GeneraL from the team.

Committing to these changes, Na’Vi is now looking forward for their The International 10 qualifier chances as the team will be missing out the AniMajor, one that gave GeneraL a laugh.
