Indonesian Actor Deddy Corbuzier Called Out by Indonesian Activist in Gaza

Deddy Corbuzier recently received a message from Muhammad Husein Gaza, a humanitarian activist from Indonesia who is currently in Palestine. In his Instagram post, the activist wrote an open letter for Deddy Corbuzier to speak out about the problems that are happening in Palestine.

“The point is that as a fellow human being and someone with the same aqidah (beliefs), I just want to remind and invite you to come out and speak up. Please don’t be silent, because silence is a crime,” wrote Husein in his closing letter.

The post was flooded with various comments from netizens. They also mentioned Deddy Corbuzier’s account to comment on this issue. Finally, Deddy Corbuzier gave his response on Saturday (15/05). Attached with a news screenshot entitled, ‘Deddy Corbuzier called out by Indonesian activists in Gaza: Silence is a crime!’, Deddy Corbuzier admitted that he did not want to be too hasty to speak up on this issue.

“Talking too soon would be unwise. Look, bro. (When) the terrorist incident happened, I talked to BNPT on my Podcast. I was silent on drowned KRI NANGGALA until I found the competent person to talk about it. Those are incidents (happening) in Indonesia,” wrote Deddy Corbuzier.

For the current problems in Palestine, Deddy Corbuzier chose to learn first and talk to the right people. Deddy Corbuzier hopes can invite Palestinian Ambassador to his Podcast.

“But before (all) that, (I will) remain silent and defend my country 🇲🇨. That is my statement,” concluded Deddy Corbuzier.

Deddy Corbuzier’s upload has won praise from influencers and netizens. They agreed that this sensitive matter cannot be rushed to become the topic of his podcast. Not to mention that it’s an international problem, it’s different with Indonesian cases that Deddy could able to bring up the topic together with the right sources.

It’s only natural if an activist in Palestine asked Deddy for help to discuss this matter on his podcast.
