Diana Nguyen is the First Female Vietnamese-Born Player to Attend MSI

Diana Nguyen became the first female Vietnamese player in MSI’s history. She was officially added to Pentanet.gg’s roster as a Reserve Support. With this, she became the first female player since the inception of the MSI tournament.

Probably, a lot of people in the LOL community — Both Vietnam and international — do not know her. Even for Pentanet.GG fans, she is also only known as a League of Legends gamer, especially the girlfriend of the player Mark “Praedyth” Lewis, who plays the ADC position for the team from the LCO region (Oceania region).

However, Diana “DSN” Nguyen has made everyone mention her. She officially became a member of the Pentanet.gg squad to attend the MSI 2021 held in Iceland. DSN will be playing the role of Reserve Support for Player Daniel “Decoy” Ealam. This event caused the worldwide League of Legends community to focus their attention on Pentanet.gg.

DSN will officially become the first female name to attend an MSI throughout the history of the tournament. Although maybe DSN will not have a chance to play, because Decoy still shows his stable performance, but DNS has really contributed to the change of League of Legends in the world.

On the Twitter account of Pentanet, the female Vietnamese-born female player shared that “the competitiveness and matches of League have inspired me to start playing since season 3. And when I received an opportunity to become a part of the professional match, and playing with my friends, I cannot refuse.”

DSN has been playing Solo Queue on the Oceania server cluster since Season 4 until now.

The female player’s achievements have increased over time with three seasons: 2015 and 2016 reaching Silver rank, Season 2017 increasing to Platinum rank and the last three seasons (2018-2020) reaching Diamond rank.

She has a knack for playing Support champions (the most are Nami, Lulu and Lux) with a win rate of up to 75%. In the current Ranked 2021 season, DSN is at Diamond I with a 49% win rate (243-255).

At MSI 2021, Pentanet.gg will be in the same group with the defending LPL Spring 2021 champions – Royal Never Give Up and Unicorns of Love – a team from the LCL (countries separated from the former Soviet Union).

Pentanet.gg will start the MSI with two consecutive matches on May 6, against RNG and UOL at 22:00 and 23:00.
