Valorant Launches New Map Breeze

Recently, Riot Games has introduced the 6th map of Valorant called Breeze. This map is set as a separate island to the south; the Bermuda Triangle region. Breeze is designed with bright colors making a lot different from current Valorant maps.

According to Riot, Valorant’s Episode 2 Act 3 map is designed to bring a few new things to the game that no other map has focused on so far. The biggest emphasis of Breeze is on long sight-lines. This means that Breeze should feature more long-range shootouts than other maps. Breeze will also include several wide-open spaces throughout the map, something that’s rare in Valorant’s map pool, which often features tight corridors. This should make for a unique kind of map, one that Riot hopes will highlight different kinds of guns and agents.

In addition, a member of the design team also said that Breeze is made up of the idea of an island in the Caribbean. Accordingly, they enjoyed the idea of ancient fortresses and tropical beaches. After the icy and cold world of Icebox, this will be a new breeze with Breeze’s bright and sunshine.

With the release of a sixth map, Riot Games will also add a map pick and ban system for professional tournaments. Breeze will officially dock in Valorant on April 28 with the start of Episode 2 Act III. In addition to the new map, Valorant will also bring players a new Battle Pass package along with the Forsaken gun skin.

Regardless of the progress, the addition of a new map means teams attending Masters Two in May will have to find a Breeze approach. With limited practice time, multiple competing teams can either be banned from series or not selected. For the teams that have been knocked out of Masters Two, now is the perfect time to practice on wide Breeze to try to make it to Stage Three.
