One of the best players of Jett… is benched?!
After facing a disappointing hindrance in the VCT NA Challengers Two open qualifiers, Gen.G has decided to bench its duelist huynh — a shocking move for fans.
Gen.G’s decision to make huynh rest on its bench follows after they got wrecked by TSM in the final round of VCT NA Challangers Two qualifiers.
In a winning scenario, they would qualify for Challengers Two where they will have an opportunity to fight in the Stage Two NA Challengers Final.
“As of today, HUYNH_CS is benched from the #GenGVAL starting roster. Everyone, continue to show your love and support for Huynh as he’s been an integral part of our roster since the beta. From winning our first tournament to now, we appreciate all that you’ve done for us! 💛🖤,” Gen.G announced on Twitter.
In his own post, huynh revealed that his contract with Gen.G remains, although he was already given the go signal to look for other opportunities with other teams. Despite being strong with his kit as a duelist player, huynh also told that he is willing to adjust to other roles.
Huynh is a prolific player whose name has already been cemented as one of the world’s best Jett players.
The said player used to be one of the FRENCH CANADIANS who played for Gen.G in May last year. Their signing-up with the team has earned the organization’s early success, and have catapulted them to become one of NA’s bests after winning several tournaments.
Currently, only two of the original Gen.G members remain– Anthony “gMd” Guimond and Michael “MkaeL” De Luca. Keven “PLAYER1” Champagne and Loic “effys” Sauvageau left Gen.G this year and are now set to fight in Challengers Final representing Version1.
