Na’Vi starts to look problematic as CEO Yevhen Zolotarov made a statement about their situation, adding that the players will release theirs as well.

Natus Vincere has recently been under fans’ scrutiny after the management decided to remove Viktor “GeneRaL” Nigrini to provide a seat for RAMZES ahead of 2021 Dota Pro Circuit second season, a regional competition, and a big one for CIS.

Big personalities criticized Na’Vi’s move, citing that it was a ‘big blow’ to the organization’s reputation and to its players.

Na’Vi CEO Zolotarov released a statement amidst the criticisms providing slight clarification on their situation.

“This goes against the way we work with other disciplines, but our traditional centralized management approaches in Dota unfortunately didn’t work,” Zolotarov told.

Zolotarov’s statement relates to the organization, giving its players ‘complete freedom of action’ including the roster’s personnel, which, according to Zolotarov, is not how the organization tends to operate.

“I personally kept Dota squads from performing substitutions dozens of times, persuaded to give one or another player another chance, etc. In the end, it didn’t end well,” he added.

The organization also defended its decision with its past experience of having multiple roster changes in just a year, the reason why it has changed its approach.

GeneRaL’s removal from the squad becomes more intriguing as Zolotarov also revealed that the player’s removal from the team was not due to his in-game performance.

“He is definitely one of the best offlaners in the region and not only, and it is humanly unpleasant for me that everything happened like this,”  he told, adding that Viktor is yet to be removed from the organization as Na’Vi still has an existing contract with the player.

Zolotarov also explained that GeneRaL was able to sign with any team interested in him, also clarifying that Na’Vi will cover part of the salary.

However, Zolotarov contradicted himself as he also told that it was the team’s coach and its players who decided to kick Viktor from the roster.

“We are 100 percent playing at The International this season together, and no one is kicking anyone. ALWAYSWANNAFLY was the first to shout if someone was kicked. Guess they didn’t keep their word.” GeneRaL told, saying implying that the team leaders have been power tripping.
