Alienware’s Deal Termination Not Due To Riot’s Sexual Harassment Case?

Riot Games is a leading video game developer based in Los Angeles, California. Riot is famous for its debut game, League of Legends. Apart from producing many spin-offs and the popular First Person Shooter game, Valorant. They are also widely known for hosting major esports tournaments such as the League of Legends Championship.

Riot Games is bearing the shame and is suffering due to the sexual harassment suit filed against the company and its CEO Nicolo Laurent.

One of the sponsors of Riot Games, Alienware, has chosen to end the partnership and sponsorship between the company. Laurent was said to have done the act when a former employee was still working at Riot Games for three years.

Some people in the community, however, suspect that Alienware is deliberately taking advantage of this situation to withdraw because it didn’t get a good deal with Riot Games or didn’t get the expected advantage, saying that Alienware could have ended the contract one month ago when the issue was still hot.

Whatever the reason, Alienware’s sponsorship withdrawal could be a bad news for League of Legends players, especially LCS, because it will affect each team’s finances.
