Burmese Ghouls Boycotts Pro Competitions Due To Myanmar Coup

Burmese Ghouls took a stand against their government after they announced on their Facebook page that they will not be participating in any competition as they don’t want to represent a country governed by the military.

“… the only government we voted for is the only stable government and the military authority (…) We would like to say that we won’t participate in any competitions that are involved in military operations and other competitions won’t compete with those teams that are supported by military authority.” the organization said in their statement.

The team’s government in Myanmar is currently facing a military coup which shocked the world. Netizens from the country raised several alarms, especially potential blocking of their social media freedom.
