Chinese team Nova XQF Esports is going home $700,000 richer after beating other countries’ bests in the controversy-ridden PUBG Mobile Championship 2020 (PMGC).
Four Angry Men (4AM) came in second and will be bringing home $200,000 from the prize pool followed by Zeus Esports at third with a prize of $100,000.
The 4-day event was concluded in a sweet fashion despite controversies and issues that rose at the start of the event.
The first day became controversial after news broke out pertaining 3 players testing positive of COVID which forced changes in the setup.
Suspension of the second day followed citing technical difficulties which brought questions regarding organizers’ preparedness for the event.
