DEVICE IS NOW A CONFIRMED NIP!

Danish star Nicolai “device” Reedtz has officially parted ways with Astralis after HLTV confirmed that the awper has shockingly signed with Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP).

The four-time major winner will be replacing Tim “nawwk” Johansson who is now made available for transfer by NIP.

Device had a five-year run with Astralis whose history with the team earned them numerous titles, making them a nightmare for other teams.

His history with Astralis has cemented his career as a professional CSGO player, earning him numerous MVP awards, including two from majors.

It can be remembered that Device already signalled that he was already thinking of leaving the roster after he told that some changes were already underway in the Astralis camp.

Leaving Astralis officially makes a heartbreak for fans, especially that Device has been part of Astralis’ core together with Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen and Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth with whom he has been teammates with since 2013.

“Leaving Astralis is tough, to say the least,” the player said.

“The boys will always be like family to me, but this Covid era has left me thinking a lot; where do I see myself when it all goes back to normal?” he added, implying that COVID has played an integral role in his decision.

Device will debut doning the NIP uniform in Flashpoint 3, the first Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament this year.

Astralis on the other hand announced that Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen serve as the team’s fifth player in DreamHack Masters Spring next week.
